An upscale lodge located in the Elgin Valley Grabouw area is seeking a front of house manager. Candidates should possess over four years of experience in a dynamic lodge setting, with a comprehensive understanding of restaurant, accommodation, and conference management. Strong communication and customer relations skills are essential. Preference will be given to those with a lengthy employment history at previous establishments, and all references must be verifiable. Experience in conference and restaurant operations is crucial. Responsibilities will encompass staff management, inventory control, maintenance oversight, service quality assurance, and adherence to opening and closing protocols. We are looking for a leader who thrives under pressure. Ideal applicants should be ambitious, self-driven, and energetic. The selected individual will oversee all front of house operations and will report directly to the General Manager and owners. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining exceptional customer relations. The position includes live-in accommodations for a single occupant, with a schedule of six days on and one day off. The salary ranges from R 20,000 to R 30,000 net, based on experience. Must be able to attend an interview in the cape town area – no virtual interviews.
