You could drive by this spot in Little Havana a dozen times and still not realize what’s behind the blackout windows. And if you walked in and didn’t notice the back door, you’ve again missed the point. That door leads down a narrow path that opens up on to a backyard oasis like no other. With garden lights and greenery all around, this patio feels like a private party that nobody else knows about. True to the area, the menu is fundamentally Cuban with hearty flourishes. Golden chorizo croquetas, crispy lechon asado buns and tostones piled high with shredded beef make for a meal, but this is hardly the place to rush. Come with a group, order a round of drinks and see where the night takes you.
