Job description
The Chef de Partie oversees the operations of the kitchen and is responsible for the food that comes out of a kitchen from conception to execution.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Location: Durbanville (no staff transport provided)
· Previous experience required with costing knowledge
· Excellent oral communication skills required
· Able to work alone and with a small team
· Excellent time management skills
· Tertiary qualification in Catering / Food Preparation with at least 2 years’ Management experience in a busy restaurant kitchen
Must have own reliable transport, position is in Clara Anna Fontein, Durbanville.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Overall responsibility for the kitchen’s daily operations
· Liaising with team as to what needs to be ordered for day to day running of restaurant
· Assisting with stock take and ordering of stock
· Able to work all sections
· Maintaining/raising the food’s profit margins and keeping food cost low
. Planning of Clubhouse menu’s and daily meals of the day
· Monitoring and controlling stock levels, first in, first out
Salary: R8,000.00 per month
